An incredible value., January 14, 2011 By Axel (St. Lucia) - See all my reviews This review is from: Hamilton Men's H64515333 Khaki King Pilot Black Day Date Dial Watch (Watch) This is an incredible piece by Hamilton. Fully automatic, with a Day/Date complication, the watch is a chunky, masculine model with quite a lot to recommend it. The case is a little tank of solid stainless steel, with a screwed in display back through which you can observe the mostly undecorated, but still impressive movement. The rotor however is engraved with the word Hamilton and the jewel count. The crown is screw down, and given proper protection by the crown gaurds. The Day display is beautiful; a perfect balance between the size of lettering and the open window. Far less successful is the Date display, with perhaps too small a window located at six o'clock, but the overall look of the Day at the 12 position and the Date at the 6 position gives the dial a touch of class. Best of all, the lettering is white on a black background! The Dial itself is a little busy, with rather large arabic numerals at 9 and 3 o'clock, but this is a matter of taste. The main reason why I got it was the full day and date plus the bezel. I knew that it was only WR 10bar but I never go underwater more than maybe 15ft so don't care much about that. The band in my opinion is ugly trying to be similar to some metal bands by been flush to the round part of the case and to feel and look like a leather band with the white stitching. I know that I could have order the one with the metal band but in the pictures these one looked good. Beside the band which is a issue I consider small, the only other thing that bothered me was the crown of the watch. Is not easy to adjust the watch since the crown is small compared to its side protectors making it hard for fingers to reach. Also the actual crown was unusually hard to unscrew the first like 20 times I tried, making me fear that the WR might not be good anymore since the thread felt like broken half way in. I have decided to keep it regardless of the issue since is keeping time... Read more
