Note: I adjusted this to 7.5" from its original approximate 8.25, for your info.
One pretty important CAVEAT however- Kienzle must have used some kind of glue when installing these link pins as I went to two different places to try and get the length adjusted. The links would try to bend as the second repair place (which has a great reputation and expertise), attempted to push these pins out.
In the end they adjusted only one side (so the clasp is not quite even on the bottom). They had to hammer and then push with a special tool and then get a very tiny saw in there to cut away one of the pins to remove links, that's right! They almost couldn't do it. They managed to get one pin out without cutting it and put it back together. And they said the pins could not have been drilled out (lengthwise)... Read more
